Debate

In the debate, I am on the nonliving side. I thought our points are really good that they won't have any thing to argue. But I'm wrong. The points that they said can hit back what we said, and they have their reasons too.
Maybe the point " The nonliving thing can not grow" will appear on the next science class. But I'm really looking forward to the thing that will happen in the next science class.

What is the "rule" for living things?

I think the " rule " for living things is that it have DNA and it can GROW.
If a thing can not grow by itself , I don't think the thing is living. For example : The plants are living things, and they can grow. But, look at the wooden table. It can't grow. It will look the same if you put it for 100 years. So the table is not a living thing.
Therefor, my "rule" for the living things is GROW.
